My deceased nephew was treated with the utmost disrespect by Andy, one of the funeral directors at Foran. His death was tragic. His body was not able to be viewed. Andy had no problem telling me that his driver had to "ride with the windows open" when they picked up his body. He indicated "he is a mess". When I asked if my sister and brother in law could possibly have time with their sons body and could it be placed in one of the chapels for a few minutes his response to me was " I can not and will not because of the smell from his body". He did agree to allow us a few moments IN THE HALLWAY. We had asked for a locket of his hair, which Andy agreed to. Just before going to the funeral home my sister placed a call to Andy and indicated that they would appreciate an extra locket of their sons hair. Andy responded by telling her " You will have to divide up the hair we have, I refuse to open that body bag up again". What my sister was presented with was a clump of my nephews hair, tied with a piece of twine, thrown into a paper envelope UNWASHED! My nephew was active military. The Navy paid for his services. Our family was treated like an annoyance. My nephew was treated with less dignity than an animal. We will be taking action so this NEVER happens to another family.
