Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union is back to local ownership. Davis Funeral Home purchased Spurgeon to join the local family of funeral homes in Harrison, Taylor and Preston Counties. Spurgeon Funeral Home will become Davis Funeral Home -West Union. The location has been owned by Rollings Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA since 2019. I was offered the opportunity to acquire Spurgeon and when approached felt it was the best for the community to have ownership local and people that cared and reinvest local not just into the communities but also into the facilities. We are exploring ideas currently and options on improvements at the West Union location. We will honor all prearrangements that were setup previously.
